Are Traditional Cards The Best Birthday Greetings?
Every year for my birthday I could count on a few things. My mom would always make me a cake, and my great grandmother would always send me a dollar in my birthday card. Most of the birthday greetings that I got back then were cards and gifts, but today there are so many more things from which to choose. There is nothing wrong with the traditional, but now that the world is a smaller place, mostly thanks to the Internet, there are faster and more convenient ways to get those greeting out there on time.

These are often funny, and in some ways they are better than the traditional card. They can sing, move, and there is also music. The downfall is that though you can print some of them out, there really isn’t a way to save many of them in original form. The traditional birthday greetings made of card stock can be stored away indefinitely.
There are other birthday greetings that can be found online, and if you know someone who lives far away, but you want to get them a gift, this is the way to go without having to pay a fortune in shipping. There are ways to order flowers and gift baskets over the Internet for birthday greetings. These can go almost anywhere and the fee for delivery or mailing this way is usually much cheaper than taking something to the post office and mailing it out right. Almost anything imaginable can be found this way.
No matter how hard I try, I know that I am horrible with birthday greetings, and many times I forget to send any of the above in time for a friend’s birthday. When this happens, I do make sure I take the time to send a lovely email reminding them of why I love them and why I am grateful that they are in my life. This type of birthday greetings might not be the best in my eyes, but my friends always tell me that this is one thing that they can keep and treasure for a long time to come. Sometimes, just knowing you are appreciated is the best gift of all, even though I still think that flowers are a lovely touch as well.
